Camp Verde – East of us a short drive is Camp Verde, another community worth a visit. You’ll find Out of Africa a wildlife park…”don’t call them a zoo”, on your way to the town and Fort Verde the first presence of General Crook.  Archaeological sites Montezuma’s Castle, an ancient Sinaguan Cliff Dwelling and National Park, Montezuma’s Well an interesting natural phenomenon and Native American ruin, the V Bar V Ranch Heritage Site with over 1300 Petroglyphs. Last but not least the Yavapai Apache Cliff Castle Casino and a Cultural Museum, eateries, galleries of local art.
